Nintendo Australia Apologizes for Wii Delay

Kotaku has contacted Nintendo of Australia to further investigate the case behind the significant delays of first party NTSC and PAL releases for the Wii. Apparently they did receive a response, and we probably found this predictable as well:

We apologise for the inconvenience that Nintendo fans are experiencing compared with people outside of their region.

Localization and PAL conversion processes often make these delays unavoidable. Although in some instances PAL versions have made it to the markets faster than the versions of other regions - for example Mario Strikers Charged Football and Battalion Wars. We are currently making efforts to minimise the time needed for localisations, as we understand that the difference in worldwide release dates is frustrating to fans.

This is probably not the response we want to hear. But Nintendo of Australia is holding back on answering more related questions (fact or speculation: take you pick) according to Aussie-Nintendo. Will the company settle the matter soon? Will the public get the response they so eagerly wanted? Will Nintendo Wii games ever see the light in Australia before other regions? Stay tune with WiiDS to find out!
