FFXII: Revenant Wings Flies to PAL Territories

Square Enix Ltd has announced that Final Fantasy XII: Revenant Wings for the Nintendo DS will be released throughout the PAL territories in Q1 2008.

John Yamamoto, president and chief executive officer of Square Enix Ltd. comments, “I am delighted that we are providing fans with another opportunity to enjoy the beautiful world of Ivalice with FINAL FANTASY XII: REVENANT WINGS. With the same high-production values including movies and music, this is a stunning sequel that expands upon the original game and that makes full use of the Nintendo DS hardware.”

Revenant Wings is a direct sequel to Final Fantasy XII on the Playstation 2, putting players back in the shoes of Vaan, Penelo, Fran and Baltheir. Thanks to the DS exclusivity, Square Enix will innovate the basic gameplay with the technology of the portable. The visuals are lush and colorful with stunning 3D graphics, epic music and video presentation that’ll making players sit in awe. Revenant Wings uses the Gambit system for combat which allows commands to be issued using the touchscreen in real-time. It’s a much different approach for a Final Fantasy game, as it controls solely by the stylus.

Players can continue the epic adventure in Final Fantasy XII: Revenant Wings in early 2008.
