Shion must fight to take back Monster World from evil.
The sprite design is exceptional, comical, and wonderful. It matches the vibrant backgrounds, as well as a few foregrounds. Everything is just packed with detail, especially that it’s such an action oriented game.
Anyone will enjoy the work the put into the music, nothing is too dark, keeping in line with the visuals. Some sound effects can be annoying though, especially in the thick of battle. Point aside, it is generally nice to listen to.
Wonderboy in Monster World is a side-view action role-playing game. Controls may take a short while to get into, however, once mastered, they prove to be very solid, and offer the game quick and easy play. This game is no sonic, however, and Shion may take a bit of moving around to get from place to place. Though, the dungeons and objectives are very challenging.
This game offers both veterans and rookies alike a challenge, if you’re looking to get lost in something, Wonderboy is the way to go.
