The Nintendo DS manages to sell a soaring 50 million units worldwide, not nearly besting Apple’s Ipod which is recorded at a total of 100 million sold. In Japan only is where 40% of DS owners reside, which means one out of six people own the portable.

The Gameboy Advance takes the record of 100 million sold within an 11 month time span. Just back in 2004 was when the Nintendo DS released, and then the DS Lite two years later. We’ll just sit back and play our Pokemons till more positive figures show up!
