No More Heroes Says Yes to North America

Revealed exclusively to IGN, Ubisoft has announced that is has the publishing rights to No More Heroes in North America, marking February 2008 as the official release date for the anticipated Wii game.

“Ubisoft is excited to be bringing Suda 51’s latest adventure to gamers in North America,” said Jay Cohen, vice president of publishing at Ubisoft. “Suda 51 is one of the most creative minds in gaming and No More Heroes is shaping up to be a visually stunning and immersive game with an extremely engaging storyline players will no doubt be drawn to.”

No More Heroes is being developed by Grasshopper Manufacture and directed by Suda 51, who originally brought us the controversial Killer 7 on the PS2 and Gamecube. Players take the role of Travis Touchdown who wants to rank himself the #1 assassin in the world, though he must battle 10 other killers in order to achieve that goal.
