After numerous amounts of speculation and rumors, it has been confirmed that Nintendo of America’s George Harrison (Senior Vice President of Marketing and Corporate Communication) will retire the company at the end of the year.
Initially, rumors said that Harrison and two other executives would leave the company in June when the decision was made to move the sales and marketing staff from Redmond, Washington to San Francisco and New York.
Speaking to Reuters:
“I have confirmed to all employees that I will be leaving at the end of December and not making the move to California.”
