Emergent Game Technologies plan to release a modified version of their Gamebryo engine on the Nintendo Wii. This middleware has been used in games such as Elder Scrolls: Oblivion and the upcoming Fallout 3.

Geoffrey Selzer (CEO of Emergent) has mentioned that the Wii “has caught the industry off guard” and is proud to “be part of Nintendo’s Third Party middlware program.

The Gamebryo engine runs through over 200 different games, including massive-multiplayer online games.
