Eternity’s Child Floats to the Wii and DS

Alten8 has changed courses with their upcoming game, Luc Benard’s Eternity’s Child, which was originally pitched for the Xbox 360 Live Arcade, thought it has been canceled because of the file size limit. Now this 2D action platformer will head to the Nintendo Wii and DS as a full-fledge title.

Angel is a poor wingless orphan who lives on a previously-beautiful planet, which is now inhabited by floods and pollutions which destroyed the wildlife and basically…life itself. The remaining creatures without wings grew jealous of those with that special gift of flight, and began murdering them until they become nonexistent. Robots were built for the sake of repopulating the land, but even they couldn’t be handled correctly and they began showing rampage to other inhabitants. Angel was stripped of his wings at birth and put in an orphanage to avoid death. After escaping the security and torture of his only home, he travels on an adventure to find the remaining creatures of his species and hopefully gain acceptance.

This fairy tale’s beauty doesn’t end at it’s storyline. Eternity’s Child is completely hand-drawn, each animation done by hand frame by frame. It’ll also feature orchestrated music, easily reminiscing back to classic Disney films. Two-player co-op is also available. A release date hasn’t been announced though.
