Vanillaware Scoops A Game for the Wii

The latest issue of Japanese publication Famitsu, has revealed two new Nintendo Wii titles are under development. The first game is Oboro Muramasa Youtouden, which is a new 2D action RPG from Odin Sphere developer Vanillaware and publisher Marvelous Entertainment.

Youtouden puts you in the shoes of Kisuke and Princess Momo who must uncover a legendary sword while facing off against evil monsters and creatures. Players will wield weapons and use control schemes that will fit their choice of comfort. The game will replicate very rich 2D visuals as of Odin Sphere, so traditional art lovers rejoice!

The second title mentioned in Famitsu is a new entry in the Fuurai no Shiren series. Players will once again take on the role of Shiren along with his ferret Coppa in an exploration of the Karakuri Mansion. The game will include a new item storage system, old and new monster designs and around 30 dungeon variations. Fuurai no Shiren 3:Karakuri Yashiki no Nemuri Hime (phew that is long!) is being created by Sega and developer Chunsoft. The game will not make use of the motion controls, instead, will be played by standard control schemes.
