While the Nintendo DS has Worms 2: Open Warfare, THQ and Team17 have announced a Wii sequel which is nailing a 2008 release.
Worms: A Space Oddity is the blend of original Worms’ turn-based gameplay but will include a fresh visual style, re-invented single-player, multiplayer modes and more. Almost everything has been redesigned for the Nintendo Wii, including the use of the Wiimote for point-based attacks. Also, A Space Oddity now retains a traditional Sci-Fi look over it’s predecessors. Battles will take place over six planets, each containing unique enviorments and characteristics. And best of all, you can battle up to three of your buddies through Wi-Fi multiplayer.
