Review

An updated version of Street Fighter II, allowing more characters, mirror matches and considerably faster paced gameplay.

This game is still close to the first Street Fighter II in terms of graphics and sound, with some slight tweaking.

The engine is where the game was changed the most. Now enjoy a nicely paced 1-star game or a blinding fast 4-Star game, though if you know a certain controller code, you can get even more than 4. This game also supports mirror matches, which is tons of fun, especially if your best friend’s favourite character just so happens to be your own favourite character. New stuff does not end there, the boss characters are now at your disposal, have fun with Bison. Finally, some characters get new moves, Chun-Li can now use a Ki-attack, Ryu and Ken can each pull off the Hurricane Kick and Dragon Fist, respectively, without the need to be on the ground, as well as some other moves.

The only problem, is that if you were impatient to have already shelled out for World Warrior edition, you’re going to be shelling out again.
