Its the little machine(s) that could. The Nintendo Wii tips the scale once again on the July sales chart released by the NPD group. Despite the fact that distribution production has slowed down, Nintendo dominates this month around, beating out the rest of the competition.
The Wii nails first place with 425,000 units sold with it’s DS counterpart following at 405,000 which is just a marginal difference, considering it’s always beaten the Wii in previous months. Sony’s last gen console still has breath because it sold 222,000 with the PSP settling at 214,000 units sold. Next is the Xbox 360 at 170,000 units sold with Sony’s Playstation 3 following closely at 159,000 sold. And the Gameboy Advance chugs at the end of the rope with 87,000 sold (suprisingly).
