Monster Lab Stirs Up on the Wii

Grrrrrrrrr….Eidos Interactive has just announced Monster Lab, a new IP for the Nintendo Wii. From the developer of Death Jr (Backbone Entertainment), this game will bring Pokemon-esque gameplay and serious role-playing action!

Monster Lab is your unordinary role-playing game that takes influence in gameplay and artistic style from Pokemon and Tim Burton. Players take the role of three scientists: Dr. Sandabar, Professor Fuseless and Dr. Tchesombra as you build and customize your own monster creations to take on the evil monsters terrorizing the innocent. There are myriad of items and parts (biological and mechanical) which you can use to create the ultimate fighter. But be careful, failures in the turn-based battle sequences could result in the lose of parts and limbs!

For more added fun, Monster Lab will include mini-games and a Wi-Fi multiplayer component in which you can battle or trade monsters with friends. The game also has Adam Beechen writing it’s script. This man is famous for his other script works in Teen Titans, Rocket Power and The Batman.

Monster Lab is trying to make a target release in June 2008. So look forward for creeps and spooks next summer!
