Konami Digital Entertainment has officially confirmed that Pro Evolution Soccer will be kicking up some dirt on the Nintendo Wii console. Before, it was only announced for the DS portable, along with other platforms, but now the series can grace our favorite little consoles with dirty shoes and sweat!

According to Jon Murphy, Pro Evolution Soccer Team Leader for Konami Digital Entertainment, “We are extremely keen to introduce PES to as wide a selection of football fans as possible, and the Wii and its unique abilities are a perfect fit. The potential for PES on eth format is enormous, and we look forward to a very exciting start to 2008.”
