Majesco Entertainment Company announced today that it’s kitchen frenzy DS title, Cooking Mama, has sold an estimate of 500,000+ units since it’s release 11 months ago.
“We are excited by the sales performance of Cooking Mama as it reinforces Majesco’s content and platform strategy,” said Ken Gold, vice president of Marketing.“We look forward to further building the franchise while introducing new players to the fun and unique gameplay within Mama’s kitchen.”
Cooking Mama is the first of it’s kind on the Nintendo DS to teach players how to cook over 76 real world dishes from pork curry to boiled rice. The game is touch screen compatible with the internal mic coming into play now and then. The game was also ported onto the Nintendo Wii a couple months later.
