According to a press release, Starcom, CanWest MediaWorks, Nintendo of Candada Ltd, Insight Production and Mark Burnett Production has collaborated into one “dream” team to create a integration of promotion for Nintendo’s Big Brain Academy: Wii Degree. Program integration, product placement and other advertising opportunities will take place during five special episodes of Are You Smarter Than a 5th Grader which debuts for it’s second season in Fall 2007.

“The main goal of the dream team is to help Nintendo reach it’s designated demographic through the educational television show,” says Starcom (not exact quote). For example, during the children’s casting call, Nintendo Wii kiosks will be displayed with Big Brain Academy: Wii Degree to allow kids and parents to interact in preparation for their audition. Even during the live broadcast, Are You Smarter Than a 5th Grader, ongoing advertisement will include Big Brain Academy, and some questions will integrate features of the game.
