According to a press release, Oxygen Games (not Oxygen Studios) announced PDC World Champion Darts 2008 for the Nintendo Wii which should debut during the Christmas season. Being the second installment for the original, this game will feature more PDC players, improved physics and animation, and a career campaign with other modes.
“We are delighted to be able to release the sequel this year, especially as its now on the Wii”, said Jim Scott, CEO, Oxygen Games. “We have worked really closely with the PDC to make this the most complete darts game ever, and the amount of new features in this title delivers a true-to-the-sport experience.”
Of course the real difference between the other platforms is that the Wii version allows players to mimic dart throwing with the motion sensing of the Wiimote. Timing, and style all work hand in hand.
Again, expect PDC World Champion Darts 2008 to nail boards in December 2007.
