Disney Interactive Studios’ philosophy was to always get people together, and it doesn’t change with their upcoming DS title, Disney Friends. This game allows players to bond with their favorite characters from the Disney world such as Nemo (Finding Nemo), Stitch (Lilo and Stitch) and much more.
“As kids of all ages play Disney Friends, they’ll build friendships with beloved Disney characters, taking on the responsibility of caring for and nurturing another being,” said Craig Relyea, vice president, marketing for Disney Interactive Studios. “Disney Friends goes beyond simple pet simulations as players team up for adventure with their Disney friends while exploring classic film locations and re-enacting memorable scenes.”
Disney Friends seems to have a robust way to interact with your friends, as it uses the microphone for voice-recognition (for chatting with the characters) and the DS clock for time-specific activities (holidays or festivals). Players can also purchase items for friends with currency from pick-up stuff.
Disney Friends will be available in the U.S and Japan in September with a European release in October. For slightly more info, view the press release.
