Speed Racer has been growing more popular lately, especially since a new live action movie is being created by the Wachowski brothers. It doesn’t stop there because Warner Brothers Interactive Entertainment has just announced that the classic cartoon show will get a video game adaption on the Nintendo Wii. The game will be based upon the upcoming movie.

“Speed Racer is an exceptionally creative property and teamed with the Wachowski brothers’ vision it makes for action-packed racing gameplay,” said Samantha Ryan, Senior Vice President, Development and Production, Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment.

“The game will capture the intensity of the racing in the film to give gamers and movie fans a chance to take the wheel after they experience the film.”

Details haven’t been uncovered about the game specifically, but we’ll find out soon!
