There’s rumors that yet another wrist strap for the Wii remote is circulating, and now there’s some proof but no official announcement.

The rumored new wrist straps have a lock mechanism replacing the sliding clip of the old models. This is the third time Nintendo have tried to stop the reports of broken TV screens and other objects where some users are either not using the wrist strap and letting go of their remotes and flinging them at their TV screens or the straps are just slipping off.

If this model is official it would make a great difference a proper locking clip like this one will not open easily. Until we do know if it’s official or not, we must wait and hope for an announcement from Nintendo.
