John Carmack’s keynote at QuakeCon 2007 has revealed some thoughts and speculations of game development on the DS and Wii. First off, he revealed that he is interested in seeing Quake Arena developed for the DS handheld, only noting the likeliness of it using the D-Pad and not touch screen like Metroid Prime Hunters.

On another note, he is also interested in seeing Orcs & Elves (and possibly other titles) on the Wii in the future.

“I hope we can do a Wii game with Orcs & Elves,” he said while talking about Nintendo’s console, which he called “a spark of newness”.

“We’re not going to see Rage on the Wii,” he said of the company’s brand new title, “but I’d be happy to see some other stuff on there.”
