In a recent copy of Famitsu they have a preview of one of the most eagerly awaited titles on the Wii, Super Mario Galaxy. Amongst the pretty shots of Mario flying through space and sniffing flowers in his cute new Bee costume is this picture of what looks like could be a new damsel in distress:

Dubbed as ‘Rosetta’ by Famitsu, little is known about this new characters role in the game, although she does look quite important.

Die hard Mario fans need not fear for Princess Peach being replaced though, as Nintendo has stated several times since the game’s announcement that Mario’s quest in the stars is in search for his beloved Princess.

So, who could this mysterious new character be, and what role will she play in the game? Guess we’ll have to wait and see!
