It has taken eight months, but the Sony Playstation 3 has finally reached the $1 million bench mark in Japan. Magazine publisher Enterbrain came in with the statistics, and while Sony will find the news phenomenal, Nintendo will kick back and relax. As of July 15th, the PS3 has sold 1.01 million units, the Wii has sold 2.9 million units while the Xbox 360 is a tad bit shy in the region with only 420,705 sold.
