Nintendo’s philosophy on gaming couldn’t be anymore correct because the DS continues to be the top selling console in Japan, figures showing over 139,200 units sold for a week ending on July 8th. The Wii has handled the situation at a swell rate with 75,200 units sold.

In other news, the PSP shines above it’s brothers with just a little under 33,000 sold. The Playstation 2 follows the portable with 14,121 sold and the Playstation 3 trails at 12,691 units sold. Other systems are found at the bottom of the list including Microsoft’s Xbox 360 (under 2,400 sold), the Gameboy Advance (600 sold) and lastly the Gamecube (174).
