Atari is on a winning streak with Nintendo systems, because the US. company has announced the newest music sensation on the DS, Ontamarama.

The story tells the tale of two “Ontamaestros” named Beat and Rest, who have come to intervene with an evil demon’s plan to take over the island where all Ontamas live insouciantly. In order for them to achieve that goal, they have to do it in style!

Ontamarama offers 12 stages of fast-paced musical action, where rhythm is the key to master the challenges. Your performance on the stages will judge how many “Otama Points” will be rewarded to purchase new songs, items and other miscellaneous junk. The game also allows players to choose a difficulty level which would fit their playing abilities, and other game options for gaming longevity.

Ontamarama hasn’t been given a release date or rating. We’ll find more news in the near future!
