Activision has finally released information on the guitar peripheral for the Guitar Hero 3: Legends of Rock on Wii. And its not something we had expected.

The model has been taken from the classic Gibson Les Paul design, which will feature removable face plates and fret buttons. The Wii guitar will have the Wiimote inserted onto the instrument, probably because the accelerometer might play a role in the game.
