The Serpent Demon, Zawell, has managed to escape confinement, and kidnapped the princess. Our hero, Amul, prays to the heavens for strength, and suddenly, he becomes a giant blue dragon.
For graphics, it seems fairly decent, however, the TurboGrafx port suffers greatly, and doesn’t come close the level of detail other games in this genre made on the TurboGrafx.
Sound, background music is appalling, and the sound effects even more so, grating as they are, you’ll be glad to know that when the game gets too many around, they do at least stop for a while to rest your ears.
It plays just like Xevious, where you have an air-to-air attack and an air-to-ground attack, but suffers from bad control and a very bad collision detection. Our Dragon is quite large, and very slow to move, coupled with a sheer amount of enemies, and the requirement to use the right type of shot in order to damage them, it becomes frustrating quickly.
Do yourself a favor and steer clear of this game, the TurboGrafx16 has much better titles in this genre.
