First thing´s first. I`m going to make this about all the three big competitors not just Nintendo. So E3 is in just a few days and I wanted to have a little fun and make some predictions about what might happen. You might think some are unrealistic, but trust me, at E3, ANYTHING can happen. So here´s the first one:

1. Sonic & Mario: At the Olympic Games will have in-game footage

This game is mostly hyped not for being an Olympic game, but for being the first ever legal game to feature possibly the 2 biggest gaming mascots of all time. The footage we will see is probably going to be a few of different Olympic-themed mini-games, Mario vs. Sonic in running and the Triple Jump, Bowser and Shadow in weightlifting and so on. a release date is also hoped for.

2. Brawl and Galaxy get official release dates, both get new trailers and info

The two biggest titles of the year, and we barely even have any info for them (well, Galaxy at least). E3 will change that, for Galaxy will have its plot revealed, Brawl will have at least 5 new characters announced (one of them being Sonic or Megaman), and 2 new trailers.

3. Halo 3 will be majorly hyped, movie details released

Microsoft´s big title will be the most talked about title at E3 with tons of new info and footage shown. Microsoft will mention that the Halo movie has been pushed back while they negotiate with 20th Century Fox to help out with the movie.

4. Mario Kart Wii and Animal Crossing Wii are announced, both with Wifi

Two major sellers on the Nintendo DS will now come to the Wii with what made them best and unique, Wifi. Both will probably be out by Q1 or Q2 2008. Mario Kart (with random matching up available) will have over 50 NEW tracks with possibly some old ones coming back and a few new racers like Goomba and Boo. Animal Crossing (with Friend Codes) will have a HUGE environment in a new setting, that damn Nook guy will be gone, never to be seen again, and instead of being and Animal Crossing look alike, you will play as your Mii.

5. Sony´s big title, Final Fantasy XIII will be pushed back to late 2008-early 2009

Sony insists that they are dominating the console business, and keep insisting that Blu-ray is the future. However this will come back to haunt them as Square Enix will mention that FFXIII will be pushed back due to development issues.

6. Rock Band will be confirmed for the Wii

MTV will confirm that besides the PS3, and 360 version, that there will also be a Wii version of the game, cheaper than the rest.

7.Sony confirms 80 Gigabyte PS3 model

Not only will they confirm this, but they will drop the 60gb to $550-500 and the 80gb will replace it.

8.Sony recalls all Sixaxis controllers, makes new model with rumble

A few months ago, Immersion, the company that Sony lost to in a lawsuit for something rumble related, said that they would be happy to implement rumble in future PS3 games. At E3, Sony will announce that this is true and will callback all Sixaxis controllers and replace them with new ones, still keeping the motion sensing technology inside. Same price $50 USD

Last but not least 9. Microsoft will reveal small tidbits about their next console the Xbox 180 x 4 (inside joke)

Many people are already wondering what the next generation of consoles will be like and Microsoft will start giving us answers. The Xbox 720 will have a brand new controller, like we have never seen before, with double analog sticks, motion sensing, pointing, and a built in microphone and speaker. The console will have a new Apple-like design, shiny, sleek, and most importantly small. Specs and titles however, will not be spoken of.

So this is what I think WILL happen at E3. What? You think I’m crazy for thinking Duke Nukem is getting a release date after it has been pushed for over 10 years? I LOL at you.
