The Official Nintendo Magazine has unveiled details regarding combat mechanics in WWE: Smackdown Vs. Raw 2008 for the Nintendo Wii.

*Thrusting the Wiimote forward executes a punch. A backhand swing results as a chop. Doing so will also block oncoming attacks.

*Instead of having a “running” button like previous games, running attacks will be activated depending on the distance between the fighters.

*To grapple an opponent, hold on the A or B button, and swing to perform a move.

*In order to perform a vertical suplex, you must raise and drop the Wiimote.

*Activate a taunt by holding on the “C” button and swinging the controller.

*The game will be 1-4 players, online is unknown as an option.

Expect to make a throwdown this coming fall.
