While Microsoft and Sony have well-made online functionality, which have attracted many gamers, we must not forget what the DS handheld has given us. Just recently, Nintendo announced several positive notes on the DS WiFi.
The company happily announced that the DS WiFi service has boosted over 5 million users around the world since it’s debut. Because of this, there has been an excess of 200 million game sessions which occured all over the world. Software speaking, out of the 65 WiFi compatible DS games, five games reign supreme as the most popular. Those titles are Animal Crossing: Wild World, Mario Kart DS, Metroid Prime Hunters and both versions of the new Pokemon.
Can the Wii WiFi find this much success? With over 1 million users (and growing) playing Mario Strikers: Charged, there is a definite possibility.
