Nintendo recently relaunched their Super Smash Bros. Brawl website, and are drip-feeding us with new bits of information about the Wii game. Here’s a rundown of the recent entries.
May 24: The Gooey Bomb.
A new weapon that sticks to not only the floor, but also to opponents. Kind of like an improved motion-sensor bomb, isn’t it?
The Gooey Bomb is a bomb that adheres to most things. It’s an explosive encased in a gummy goo.
It’s a little different from a Motion Sensing Bomb in the sense that it can attach itself not only to the terrain, but also to opponents.
May 25 & May 28: Pit and his moves
Pit, as most of us know, is the main protagonist of the (extremely) short-lived Kid Icarus series. Pit has a special weapon, his bow, the Sacred Bow of Palutena. His normal B move, as indicated by the second picture, is the Palutena arrow, which is an arrow shot from his bow. You can control the direction of the arrow. The third picture shows Pit’s B+up move, the Wings of Icarus. This move allows Pit to, temporarily, be able to fly.
May 29: Final Smash
The Final Smash, a new item introduced to the Smash Bros. series. This is probably the deadliest of all weapons. A hit is almost guaranteed to KO you out of the stage. Each character has their own unique Final Smash. As we saw in the trailer, some of the Final Smashes include: Kirby boiling you in a huge pot, and Link slashing at you a whole bunch of time while you are stuck in the Triforce. Here we take a look at Mario’s smash:
Mario’s Final Smash is what appears to be a huge flurry of red energy that comes from his hands.
