Pac-man is a game where you play the role of a little yellow blob called Pac-man. Your aim is to move around a neon coloured maze, eating little white dots and avoiding the mazes resident ghosts, Blinky, Pinky, Inky and Clyde, which all move independently and in their own special way, striving to eat Pac-man before he eats all of their dots.

All is not lost however, as found in each corner of the maze are big dots called Power Pills, which temporarily grant Pac-man the ability to eat the ghosts, scoring massive points and returning the ghosts to their house in the center of the maze. Other features of the game are random fruits which appear in the middle of the maze, scoring Pac-man bonus points if he manages to eat it in time, and a tunnel from one side of the maze to the other, handy for getting away from ghosts quickly.

The sound effects for Pac-man are the kind that haunt you, as a game this popular and well-known you are bound to have heard them somewhere as they have been used in adverts and cartoons for years. Also, it would be very surprising if you aren’t familiar with the graphics either, as this game has been around since games hit the main stream, and the Pac-man and ghost sprites can been see all over the place, from tv adverts to magazines.

This NES title is nothing more then a remake of the classic arcade game, and I would serious recommend it if you have either never played Pac-man, or just fancy a familiar game to pass the time with now and again.
