No one has dumped the water on Nintendo’s blazing hardware sales these past months, especially in the U.S. The NPD Group has reported on Thursday that the DS has sold 470,000 units in April while the Wii trails behind with 360,000, which makes an even 2.5 million units sold since the launch last year.As for Microsoft corp and Sony, the Xbox 360 sold 174,000, while the Playstation 3 sold 82,000 by the end of April. Suprisingly, the archaic Gameboy Advance exceeded PS3 sales with a little more than 84,000 sold.
Nintendo also nabs high spots in terms of software. Combined, Pokemon Dimond and Pearl have sold over 1.7 million, making them the hottest game(s) in the market.
