Parappa the Rapper Creator Sides With Wii…

Many developers these days are seeing the light casted down by the Wii, helping them realize the potential it has in store. Parappa the Rapper creator, Masaya Matsuura agrees, because NanaOn-Sha is developing a Wii title right now. Matsuura states that he is impressed by the console, making it ideal for developers to conjure great ideas for future games.

“Wii is a very good piece of hardware. Many talented people from Nintendo make great ideas for game hardware, of course,” said Matsuura

Matsuura also feels skeptical about the Wii software, noting that it maybe difficult for people to “keep shaking the controller for hours.” He criticizes the other consoles, starting with the Playstation 3 by saying the size is “too big for the Japanese.” As for the Xbox 360, he disliked the AC Adaptor, not the hardware.

There isn’t much news buzz around his new game, though he revealed that NanaOn-Sha is working on a “very casual, one-button game.”
