“The handheld has been threatening to break through the 10million barrier for the past month after Nintendo’s latest financials revealed shipments up to 9.48 million had reached the Japanese market by the end of March.”
The figures also show that Worldwide the DS Lite has sold over 22million units bringing the overall total for the DS consoles (DS + DS Lite) to an outstanding 40million units making it the most popular current handheld system.
