Have you bought a Wii and have waited eager for a rail shooter? Don’t fret yet, because today, Sega of America has announced Ghost Squad, a port of the 2005 light game, for the Nintendo Wii. If you haven’t guessed it yet, you’ll be able to utilize the Wiimote as a light gun (maybe the gun shell? Hmm) to target on-screen enemies. Players will take the heat in shootouts through three non-linear missions, that branch off into submissions of your desired selection. Sega has also promised some Wii-specific modes and features.
Scott A. Steinberg, vice president of marketing (Sega of America Inc) says the game will bring the classic light gun blaster experience that SEGA made popular in the arcades to the Wii.” There are 25 different weapons at your disposal against the terrorists and the enviorment (destructable). Ghost Squad will even feature multiplayer compatiblity up to four players. Several unlockables and stages will add replay value to the game.
Ghost Squad is an elite group of soldiers under the direct order of the United Kingdom to undergo dangerous classified missions and operations.
