While Soul Calibur IV is still being contemplated, Namco Bandai brings Soul Calibur to the Wii, but not the same way you’d expect.

In the latest issue of Famitsu magazine, the developer announced Soul Calibur Legends exclusively for the Wii. The game does not retain the classic fighting genre as before, instead, it’ll take players upon an adventure through the SC universe. Set in the 16th century, players will meet characters from the fighter roster, and utilize the Wiimote for weapon combat.

Other details and the release date are left in a ghost ship. But we can expect Namco Bandai to conjure a lot for this Wii exclusive.
