We’ve seen some pretty interesting experiments done with the Nintendo Wii, ranging from DJ Wiimotes to system modifications to play older generations of games. Now, a group has come to us to share their work, which heavily deals with mixing music from the Wii channels.
We would like to introduce a small group of gentlemen known as Agent B & Gustodian, who are the masterminds of Robotobots. They have created “It’s the WiiMixâ€, a conceptional audio project that captures the essence of video game culture and instrumental hip hop into something completely original.
The main goal was to create 3 songs that utilize the music from the Wii channels, trick up the tunes with loops and distortions, and create a brand new sound. And in the end, Robotobots produce music completely unorthidox to the original tune, but still retains the original Nintendo presentation, just with a little more thrill and tempo brought by the group.
The music is amazing, and you can notice how well the channel tunes were captured. You can visit their website or check out their myspace.
