A buzz has been going around that Nintendo of America is planning to move out of Redmond, Washington into new territory. Sources has informed Game Informer Online of this, but we are unsure is this is a speculated rumor, or if NIA really plans to pack it’s bags.It was said that employees were told to make a decision whether relocate offices (either San Francisco or New York) or accept a severance package. The decision dateline is on June 1st, and the offices would open as early as this fall.

Nintendo of America originated in New York in 1980, but later moved to it’s current location in Redmond, Washington. The offices here house the Treehouse localization team, Nintendo Power magazine, testing teams, human resources and other facilities.
