If you plan on buying the Opera Browser for the Nintendo DS (original), you may want to boot up your computer. As of this moment, you can only purchase the browser online. However, the DS Lite version will be avaliable in retail stores. You can recall that Nintendo has done this before with it’s other products such as the Wii component cables (though they can be purchased at retail stores now).

A Nintendo of America rep gave us the information by saying:

“A version of the web browser for the original Nintendo DS will be available online, while a version for Nintendo DS Lite will be available at retail.”

Could this mean that Nintendo are start to slowly forget about the first itteration of the DS ?
