IGN had a interview with Kai Huang, co-founder and president of RedOctane, and it has been confirmed that Guitar Hero III for Wii will use the guitar peripheral and will contain online components. This will excite fans who prefer the traditional style of this zanny music game instead of the possible motion-sensing controls.
During the interview, Huang said:
“We are really excited about the Wii game because there are so many options for the Wii remote. However, you will play the game with a guitar peripheral and it will be similar to a guitar you’ve seen in the past.”
Just like GH II for the Xbox 360, this sequel will feature downloadable music, and online play for the first time. Expect to see Guitar Hero III hit most platforms this fall.
