Review
Knight Arthur is on his quest to save his love, the Princess PrinPrin from the clutches of the evil Demon Emperor.
I can safely say that the graphics sported by this game are quite fine indeed, background scrolling adds some nice effects. Enemies are quite numerous, but they don’t slow down the game. A few of the weapons and bonus point drops leave a lot to be desired, mostly just a small and very mundane sprite.
Capcom has pulled out the stops on the music here, everything is awesome. Escpecially the Game Over and Continue Screens, of course, they have to be, you’ll be seeing them very often. Sound effects of weapons and such are kind of grating, and can get in the way of the good music if you get a weapon like the torch.
Leaving the vivid and explicit language aside for the sake of appearing professional, I will say this about the game’s difficulty: IT IS DIFFICULT! While anybody can get the very simple and easy to use controls down in 5 minutes, a very small percentage of those people will go on and complete this game. It is a basic platformer, with very tough health restrictions, a variety of weapons for use and an endless amount of enemies, you’ll find yourself playing for hours, and after that, even more hours, provided you don’t quit from the difficulty.
Worth the 800 points? If you feel “Excellent Challenge” is fitting, then yes. If “Self Punishment” holds up, then no, I wouldn’t want you to get a game that raises too much blood pressure.
