Vicious Cycle Software has announced that it’s Vicious Engine will be a part of Nintendo Wii Third Party Tools Program. Just last week, the company approved the engine to make use on the Xbox 360. And it will also be used on the Wii as an ideal middleware solution for cross-platform games.
“Wii is a remarkable platform with boundless potential,” said Eric Peterson, president of Vicious Cycle. “As a Wii middleware solution, the Vicious Engine will provide developers with a practical approach to exploring the unique and creative possibilities of Wii. Our technology allows developers to focus on what makes Wii special–fun gameplay and innovative peripheral integration.”
Vicious Cycle announced some features to come along with the engine including simple “point and click scripting” and rendering/dynamic scene capabilities. VE is suppose to make cross-platform developing much easier than before.
