A new exclusive rhythm game for the Wii from EA is apparently under development, according to Random Nintendo. They claim that little information is known about the game itself, although is it known that it is an entirely new Intellectual Property (IP).
The currently untitled Wii project is under development at EA’s Montreal studio. The game, which reportedly has a 1970s vibe, will have players control dancers by moving both the Wii Remote and Nunchuk. While it may sound similar to Konami’s Dance Dance Revolution: Hottest Mix, one of the main differences appears to be the lack of a dance pad for EA’s game.
EA have shown strong support for the Wii, with games from their series such as Tiger Woods, Medal of Honor, The Godfather, and their soon to be released title SSX Blur.
Lets hope that their source is correct, as I’m a huge fan of rhythm games, and more original titles for the Wii are always very welcome!
