Gametart.com, the UK’s number 1 games rental service, is now offering DS game rentals. What’s more, to celebrate the launch of this, we’ve teamed up with them to offer you an extended trial period for free!

Gametart currently offer PS2, PSP and Xbox 360 games available to rent for as little as £2.99 per week, and from tomorrow they are adding over 150 Nintendo DS games to their already hugh catalogue of games.

Their rental system works like this: You log into your Gametart.com account, select the game you want to rent, and wait for it to land on your doorstep. Once you’ve had enough of that game, you just pop it back in the prepaid envelope and send it back. When the game is received by Gametart.com, you will be alerted and can select another game to rent.

There are no such thing as late returns either, as you can keep the game for as little or as long as you like!

We had chance to pose a few questions to Marketing Manager for Gametart.com, Rob Savin, regarding the addition of DS games to their site:

WiiDS.co.uk: How many games do you estimate will be available at the launch of your service?

Rob: We’ll list every single Nintendo DS game available in the UK (I think this is roughly 150). If anyone spots one we’ve missed, we’ll source it for them.

WiiDS.co.uk: The Nintendo DS is region-free, meaning games from any region can be played on it. Will you be providing games from regions other than Europe/UK?

Rob: Yes, we will, especially where they aren’t available in the UK.

WiiDS.co.uk: How many copies of each game do you have in stock, and do you have more copies of the most popular games?

Rob: We keep as many as we need of each title to satisfy the demand.

The addition of games from other gaming regions (such as the US and Japan) has really gotten me excited, together with the ability to suggest games they should make available.
