Creators of the WiiXT, the next in a long line of Wii mod chips, are promising some serious features when compared to other mod chips, including unlocking DVD playback on the Wii console.
Other features the self dubbed “Ultimate Wii Modchip” sports include Virtual Console support, stealth operation, recovery mode, and uses 128MB ROM flash memory, 512MB flash storage (presumably for games), and an external USB dongle for enabling and disabling the chip, upgrading, and reflashing.
Unfortunatly there appears to be no real proof of this chip existing, and some of the features it is said to have seem a little far fetched, however if it is true could this be a must have for people wanting DVD playback on their Wii ?
Only time will tell I guess…!
