Guide Master Higgins on his quest to save the island children and his bride, Tina, on Adventure Island.
Bright and clear, the sprites are quite large and colourful, which makes it no problem to avoid any obstacles or enemies. The colourful look applies to the background as well. Overall it posseses a polished look that is easy on one’s eyes.
I say the music is fairly good, I especially like the overworld theme music. The stage music is also fitting for the location, in all, it works out pretty well, but nothing is overly memorable. The sound effects are mostly just beeps, but not horrible, though not the greatest either.
It’s basically a regular platformer, however it focuses mainly avoiding enemies rather than making great jumps. Contact in any form with an enemy will lose you a life, so all of your fighting must be done with weapons that you can pick up. There are different weapons for use, with different effects and patterns, and since you only hold one weapon at a time, it tasks you to think before picking up. The game also requires you to constantly collect the fruit that appears through-out the level to continually replenish an ever decreasing meter, which, when it hits empty, will lose you another life.
This game is fairly straightforward, and recomended if you have some spare points, don’t worry about difficulty, you have infinite continues, so even if you constantly mess up, you can just pick it up and try again.
