People figured that this artistic adventure game would have done well on the Wii. Only because the unique paint brush mechanic would’ve been very intuitive with the Wiimote. Well, we have been addressed that Okami maybe underway for the Nintendo console.

For those who don’t know what Okami is, it was released onto the PS2 last year, and won some prestiges awards for it’s lush visuals and innovating combat involving a onscreen paint brush which you control with the PS2 controller.

A reliable industry insider unaffiliated with Capcom, told IGN that the company has put some serious thought into creating a Wii version, and the game might be in the works as we speak. It’s a shame that Clover Studios closed down, but it wouldn’t be hard for Capcom to port the game and include Wii-specific controls.

But it’s still a rumor, so stay tune for more news on this subject.
