Activision boss Mike Griffiths confirmed that Guitar Hero is heading to Nintendo platforms, during the Q3 2007 Preliminary Financial Results Conference Call for Activision.
Although he does not say exactally which platform will see the game, he does mention both the Wii and DS and Guitar Hero in the same sentance, which is good enough for me! A recording of the conference call can be found over at the Activision site.
“The key difference in our strategy versus the prior cycle, is that in addition to full support on Sony and Microsoft platforms, we will aggressively target the Nintendo platforms consistent with our multi-platform strategy and Nintendo’s expected growth. In fiscal 2008, we will double our offerings on the DS and the Wii, including Spider-Man, Shrek, Transformers, and Guitar Hero.”
This is fantastic news, as having a strong franchise such as Guitar Hero for either of the Nintendo platforms can only lead to good things for Nintendo. Does this mean we can look forward to another fun attachment for our Wii-remotes?
