I’m sure every retro gamer remembers Punch-out!!, the game for NES where players took the roll of an amateur boxer and had to bring him all the way to the top; Heavy Weight champion of the world.

Some may remember the fact that famous Nintendo icons such as Mario, Luigi and Donkey Kong were in the crowds. Some may remember the awesome gameplay, where timing had an effect on everything. Hell, some could even remember the flashy green hair. The only thing that matters is this popular game is heading towards the Wii.

Remember how Nintendo recently renewed the license for “Punch-Out”? That started lots of speculation. It had people thinking that there was either going to be a Wii version, sort of like Wii Sports Boxing, and some thought it was heading to the Virtual Console. The latter is correct.

The OFLC (Office of Film and Literature Classification) and ESRB have both given ratings to the game, meaning it is coming. When? That is still unknown (as usual) but don’t fret, as you will get.
